Benoit Gomez – also known as the King of port starts – is passionate about all aspects of kitefoiling, where he can keep pushing boundaries.

Ten years ago, when he moved to France with his parents, his father taught him how to kite. At first, kiteboarding was just a weekend activity for him. The more he practiced the sport, the more amazed he became and the more he wanted to push the limits. He competed in different disciplines such as freestyle, twintip racing, strapless and more recently kitefoil racing. In the end, kitefoil was the best compromise for him.

Currently, he is training to qualify for the Olympics in 2024 and fighting for this year’s world champion title. Benoit’s recipe is to work hard but only in a fun way!

His favourite Boom V2, is the 15, which is very stable, has a lot of power, and has amazing performance!
